The Phoenix Club of Philadelphia has selected JuJu Watkins as this year's recipient of the Dawn Staley Award. The award is given annually to a player who exemplifies the skills that Dawn possessed - ball handling, scoring, her ability to distribute the basketball, and her will to win.
JuJu concluded her season averaging 23.9 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 3.4 assists. JuJu led her team to an overall 31-4 record and 17-1 in the Big Ten.
Her accomplishments include:
- Big Ten player of the Year
- AP first team All-American/AP National Player Of the Year
- Naismith Player of the Year
